SA Hip Hop star Cassper Nyovest is proudly showcasing his new wedding ring after recently tying the knot. The artist became the center of attention on social media over the weekend when images and videos from his wedding spread rapidly across Twitter, prompting an outpouring of congratulations from fans on his marital status.
In a video that was highlighted by The South African, Cassper and a married friend can be seen flaunting their wedding rings. Cassper advises his fans and followers in the clip that the term ‘my girl’ should be reserved for married individuals only. He humorously warns single men in the video, saying,
“Guys, we have an announcement to make. If we catch any of you saying ‘My girl, my girl’, we’re going to need to ask you, ‘Did you pay?’ because we paid. She isn’t your girl, she’s your friend… actually, she’s your acquaintance.”
Cassper accompanied the video with a caption referencing a biblical passage, “Genesis 34:12 – Make the price for the bride and the gift I am to bring as great as you like, and I’ll pay whatever you ask me. Only give me the young woman as my wife.”
